Brighton, Crystal Palace would be a good fit for Genk goal machine Onuachu, says pundit
Published: September 28, 2021Belgian football pundit Filip Joos has revealed that two Premier League clubs Brighton & Hove and Crystal Palace would be a good fit for Racing Genk striker Paul Onuachu.
Onuachu surprisingly stayed put at Belgian Cup winners Genk when the transfer window closed for business despite an outstanding 2020-2021 campaign that saw him score 37 goals combined for club and country.
And he has picked up where he left off last season by scoring 11 goals in 12 games in the current campaign.
The former FC Midtjylland striker has not hidden his desire to play in the Premier League and Joos believes the Seagulls and Eagles could suit him.
Speaking on Extra Time via Sporza, Joos stated : "Apparently nobody really had enough interest in him. I don't understand that.
"For a team like Brighton or Crystal Palace, for example, he can be of gold value."
Fellow pundit Arnar Vidarsson was happy Onuachu remained a player of Genk until at least January 2022.
"I also think it's great that he stayed with Genk and that Genk was able to keep him. I am a huge fan of his. He is a real goal-getter, only his first touches could sometimes be a bit better."
Onuachu recently signed a one-year contract extension, keeping him at Genk until June 30, 2024.
