England squads announcement : 11 Nigeria-eligible players including Chelsea, Arsenal loanees called up
On Friday, October 1, the English Football Association announced the Young Lions' rosters for their upcoming international fixtures, with as many as eleven players of Nigerian descent getting invites.

Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun and Tottenham Hotspur-reared winger Nonso Madueke have both been named in the England U21 squad for their European Championship qualifying matches against Slovenia and Andorra.

The two players already have caps for England at U21 level, with Balogun making his debut against Kosovo last month while Madueke debuted at the U21 EURO back in March 2021.

Chelsea loanee Faustino Anjorin and Arsenal loanee Miguel Azeez have been told to report at St. George's Park next week to begin their preparations for England U20s friendly matches against Italy and Czech Republic.

Anjorin couldn't make his debut for the U20s last month because he was finalizing a loan move to Lokomotiv Moscow.

The five players of Nigerian descent named in England U19s squad is headlined by Manchester United winger Shola Shoretire.

Glasgow Celtic goalkeeper Tobi Oluwayemi, younger brother of 2021 Super Eagles invite Joshua Oluwayemi, has also been called up, along with Daniel Oyegoke, Carney Chukwuemeka and Sam Edozie.

England U19s will face France, Mexico and Belgium at the Marbella Football Centre in Spain.

An Anglo-Nigerian teenager in the form of Fulham midfielder Michael Olakigbe has been named in the England U18 squad for friendly matches against Norway and Russia at the Marbella Football Centre.

Highly-rated Manchester United schoolboy Habeeb Ogunneye could become provisionally cap-tied to England in the coming weeks.

The defender has been included in England U17s squad for their U17 EURO qualifying fixtures against Belarus, Armenia and Slovakia.
