Crystal Palace claimed a 4-3 win over Tottenham Hotspur in a Premier League 2 clash at Crystal Palace Training Ground on Friday afternoon with three players of Nigerian descent starting for their respective teams.

While 2021 Super Eagles invitee Joshua Oluwayemi and central defender Tobi Omole went the distance for the north London club, promising striker Omilabu saw 79 minutes of action before he was replaced.

Oluwayemi conceded three goals inside 25 minutes as Rich-Baghuelou opened the scoring with a powerful header, Rak-Sakyi doubled the advantage before Street made it 3-0.

Palace thought they had practically killed the game as a contest, only for Devine to scramble home an effort to give Tottenham Hotspur a lifeline.

In the second half, Spurs didn't give up and were rewarded for their efforts as Markanday and Cesay got on the scoresheet to bring the game to 3-3, but Banks beat Oluwayemi with a free-kick to secure three points for Palace.

Omole is on the periphery of Tottenham's first team, making the matchday squad for three first team games in the new season.

Oluwayemi is believed to be the fourth choice goalkeeper for first team duties behind Hugo Lloris, Pierluigi Gollini and Brandon Austin.
