According to Italian sports daily Corriere dello Sport, Napoli striker Victor Osimhen ranks second for headed goals in theĀ European Leagues since the start of 2022.
When the Nigeria international opened the scoring in Napoli's 2-0 win over Hellas Verona on Sunday, it was his third headed goal in the space of five weeks.
Osimhen previously scored through headers against Venezia (February 6) and Cagliari Calcio (February 21).
Barcelona's Netherlands international striker Luuk de Jong leads the way for most headed goals in 2022 with four with strikes against Mallorca, Granada, Espanyol and Athletic Bilbao.
For the 2021-2022 season, Osimhen has netted four goals with a header, second behind Genoa attacker Mattia Destro.
The 2015 U17 World Cup winner has notched thirteen goals in all competitions, including four in the Europa League.
He headed home an equaliser as Napoli and Leicester City shared the spoils with a 2-2 draw in their opening game of the Europa League at the King Power Stadium back in September.
