Lazio announce Nigerian-born ex-Barca, Liverpool winger Adekanye has joined Go Ahead Eagles
Published: July 07, 2022Through a press release published on their official website on Wednesday, July 6, Italian Serie A club Lazio have announced that Nigerian-born winger Bobby Adekanye has been sold to Dutch side Go Ahead Eagles.
The 23-year-old has departed the White and Sky Blues after fifteen official games for the club, scoring one goal and providing an assist in the matches.
A former Netherlands youth international, Adekanye has put pen to paper on a two-year deal with Go Ahead Eagles.
He has already started pre-season training with his new employers and scored on his unofficial debut against SV Terwolde before getting on the scoresheet in a 2-0 win over NK Lokomotiva Zagreb last weekend.
Adekanye has a glittering CV, having played for Ajax Amsterdam, Barcelona, PSV and Liverpool in his youth before joining Lazio in the summer of 2019.
He enjoyed loan spells at Cadiz, ADO Den Haag and Crotone as a Lazio player.
The Dutch-Nigerian speaks four languages : English, Dutch, Spanish and Italian.
