Nottingham Forest interested in N12.5b-rated Super Eagles star
Published: July 20, 2022According to the Daily Mail UK, English Premier League new boys Nottingham Forest are interested in signing Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Dennis from Watford.
Watford were relegated from the Premier League last season and the need for the Hornets to trim their wage bill has ensured that the Nigerian striker is put up for sale.
Despite their drop to the Championship, Dennis was an important figure for Watford last season participating in 16 goal involvements which included ten goals and six assists in thirty-three Premier League appearances.
Nottingham Forest have been busy this transfer window, bringing in Taiwo Awoniyi from Union Berlin and are aiming to complement the attack with another Nigerian in Dennis.
If a deal is completed, the 24-year-old Dennis will add incredible versatility and clinical finishing to Forest's attack.
The Nigerian participated in the Super Eagles' tour of the United States this summer and also in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe.
Former Club Brugge star Dennis, who switched to the Hornets for a fee of three million pounds last summer, is now valued in the region of £25million (N12.5b in Nigerian currency) by the Vicarage Road Stadium outfit.
