Nigeria player ratings : Nnadozie goes from heroine to villainess, Okobi playmaker, Ordega struggles
Published: July 23, 2022Nigeria's Super Falcons were beaten by Zambia with a slim 1-0 victory to hand over the third place award of the 2022 CAF Women's Africa Cup of Nations to the Copper Queens of Zambia. On Friday evening at the Stade Mohammed Stadium in Morocco.
The loss means that Nigeria have failed to win anything at the tournament despite qualifying for the World Cup.

Goalkeeper
Chiamaka Nnadozie: The standout player of Nigeria's epic semifinal clash against Morocco, the Paris FC netminder went from heroine to villainess after she scored an own goal in the 29th minute which ultimately decided the outcome of the game. 4.5/10
Defenders
Ohale Osinachi: Great player but not very commanding without Ebi available. 5.5/10
Ashleigh Plumptre: Didn't cover her face in glory either. 5.5/10
Michelle Alozie: Energetic, tried to add something to the attack but just couldn't get on it. 5.5/10
Toni Payne: Lacked conviction on the ball. 5/10
Midfielders and strikers
Christy Ucheibe: Substituted for Chikwelu in the 36th minute. Wasn't effective at all. 4/10
Regina Otu: Replaced by Efih in the 72nd minute and a largely ineffective performance. 5.5/10
Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene: Gave a good account of herself. Was creative and carried out many roles in the midfield. 7.5/10
Gift Monday: Direct running but little end product. 5/10
Francisca Ordega: Wasted too many attacking sequences with incomplete passing. 4/10
Ifeoma Onumonu: Booked in the 35th minute and substituted at half-time. Uninspiring display. 4/10
The Substitutes
Uchenna Kanu: Replaced Onumonu in the 45th minute and lacked too much attacking help despite trying to create. 4/10
Rita Chikwelu: Came on in the 36th minute to replace Ucheibe. Tried but not enough decisive quality. 5/10
Peace Efih: Came on for Otu and added more legs to the game. 5/10
Vivian Ikechukwu: Came on for Ordega in the 72nd minute to help push the team up the pitch. Unsuccessful. 5/10
