Report : Nottingham Forest make transfer decision on Super Eagles star
Published: July 24, 2022Premier League new boys Nottingham Forest's proposed move for Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Dennis now appears to be off reports The Daily Mail.
Dennis had been on the radar of the newly promoted side but the Reds have now pulled the plug on the transfer and instead chose to focus on bringing in Maxwell Cornet from Burnley.
Dennis was involved in sixteen goal involvements last season, scoring ten and assisting six in thirty-three Premier League appearances but couldn't save his team from relegating to the Championship.
Due to financial restraints, the Hornets have made the Super Eagles striker available for a transfer with a fee of about 25 million pounds (12.5 billion naira) demanded.
The former Club Brugge hitman arrived in the Premier League last summer for a fee of 3 million pounds.
The Nigerian international participated in the Super Eagles' tour of the United States a few weeks ago and also in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe.
Dennis started and was in action for 74 minutes as Watford and Joe Aribo's Southampton played out a goalless draw in the Hornets' final pre-season fixture at Wealdstone FC’s Grosvenor Vale on Saturday, July 23.
