SuperCupNI : Three players of Nigerian descent including Musa named in Man Utd squads
Published: July 25, 2022Three players of Nigerian descent have been included in the Manchester United squads for the prestigious STATSports SuperCupNI which will take place from Sunday 24th July to Friday 29th July in Northern Ireland.
Exciting striker Victor Aigbomian Musa has been named in the Manchester United U16 squad for the Junior Section of the SupercupNI and has been allocated the number 11 jersey.
The 2006-born player was part of the Manchester United squad to the 2021 edition of the SuperCupNI and wrote his name on the scoresheet against Coleraine FC.
A Spain U16 international, Musa played for Club Deportivo Lourdes before relocating to England, where he schooled at St Bede's and St Joseph's Catholic College, from where he joined Manchester United.
Manchester United U16s face Surf Select at the Riada Stadium, Ballymoney on Monday afternoon, followed by games against Co Fermanagh (July 26) and MK Dons (July 27).
Young professional Maximillian Oyedele and first year scholar Habeeb Ogunneye are in the Manchester United U19 squad that will tackle Northern Ireland U19s in two challenge matches on July 25 and July 27.
Oyedele, a Poland U18 international, was a member of United's FA Youth Cup-winning team last season.
