Timo Werner's return to his former German Bundesliga club RB Leipzig is imminent, according to reports.
Italian transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano claims Werner's transfer to RB Leipzig will be completed on Monday, August 8.
The Red Bulls club wanted to bring their former striker back this summer and previously it was not clear whether Chelsea would allow the 26-year-old go.
Romano has now revealed that RB Leipzig and Chelsea have reached a club-to-club agreement on a permanent deal and all the parties will prepare documents in order to sign the contract this week.

On Saturday, Werner was absent from Chelsea's matchday squad for their season opener against Everton due to injury.
He joined the Blues in the summer of 2020 for a fee of 55 million euros, and has scored 23 goals in 89 appearances across all competitions for the London club.
He mustered 95 goals in 159 games for RB Leipzig before moving to Chelsea.
