Ten Hag promotes Shoretire to Manchester United first team training pre-Brentford
Published: August 10, 2022
England U19 international of Nigerian descent Shola Shoretire has been promoted to Manchester United first team training before their Premier League meeting with Frank Onyeka's Brentford at the Brentford Community Stadium.
The 18-year-old was among the players Dutch football tactician Erik ten Hag monitored at close quarters during Wednesday's training session at Carrington Training Ground.
Shoretire's appearance at the training ground has ended speculation that he could be nursing an injury, having missed the development squad's Premier League 2 opener versus Arsenal at the weekend.

He was not considered for selection for the Red Devils' shock opening day loss to Brighton & Hove.
Shoretire will wear the number 47 at the back of his jersey should he be named in the matchday squad against Brentford.
He has made one appearance under Ten Hag but it was in a non-competitive fixture against Rayo Vallecano on July 31, coming off the bench for the last seventeen minutes.
Shoretire last figured for the first team on the final day of last season against Crystal Palace.
