Super Eagles striker pens farewell message to Watford after joining Nottingham Forest
Published: August 14, 2022
Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Dennis has said his final goodbye to everyone associated with Watford via social media after completing his transfer to Nottingham Forest.
The two-time European champions confirmed the capture of the Nigeria international on Saturday night but the deal was not completed in time for him to be selected in the squad to face West Ham United this afternoon.
Dennis, 24, joined Watford from Club Brugge last summer and went on to make thirty-seven appearances in all competitions, scoring ten goals and assisting six others.
He started Watford's first two matches of the new Championship season before sealing a move to the City Ground.
The Nigeria international enjoyed stellar moments in his maiden season at Watford, including his goal and two assists against Everton and repeated the feat versus Manchester United.
Unfortunately for Dennis, his goals failed to keep Watford in the Premier League but he has now secured a return to the top flight.
Writing on Twitter, Dennis stated : "Thank you Watford for everything, I want to wish the club all the best for this season and the future . Forever in my heart."
