Wolverhampton Wanderers do not hold an interest in Super Eagles striker
Published: August 20, 2022
Speculation linking Nigeria international Terem Moffi with a possible move to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer transfer window are wide of the mark, allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report.
French media citing a club insider had claimed that there was major interest from Wolverhampton Wanderers for the Lorient star and a loan with an obligation to buy set at twenty five million euros was being discussed between the Ligue 1 and Premier League clubs.
Per the report, Moffi would become the biggest sale in the history of Lorient, overtaking Gabon national teamer
Didier Ndong, who moved to Sunderland in 2016 for a fee of sixteen million euros.
Allnigeriasoccer.com can report with certainty that Moffi joining Wolves this summer is not on the cards and there is no concrete interest from Premier League clubs at the moment, twelve days to the close of the transfer window.
Moffi joined Lorient for a fee of eight million euros in 2020, making him the second most expensive acquisition by The Merlucciidaes.
In 73 outings across all competitions for Lorient, the 23-year-old has directly participated in 30 goals (23 goals, 7 assists).
