Crystal Palace early team news EFL Cup : Vieira makes decision on four Nigerian young stars
Published: August 23, 2022
Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira has made a decision on four talented young players of Nigerian descent ahead of his side's meeting with Oxford United at the Kassam Stadium in the League Cup second round on Tuesday evening.
Eagles academy stars David Omilabu, Victor Akinwale, David Ozoh and Ademola Ola-Adebomi have been left out of the traveling party to OX4 4XP.
It was thought Vieira might field a slightly weakened side for the clash against Oxford United but the Arsenal legend has decided not to rush the aforementioned players in the early stage of the season.
Akinwale, Ozoh and Ola-Adebomi were named in Crystal Palace's 2022-2023 pre-season tour squad in Australia and Singapore, and the trio were given minutes against Manchester United about a month ago.
Ozoh, Omilabu and Akinwale were on U21 duties with the Eagles development squad on Friday, while Ola-Adebomi was a non-playing substitute.
Patrick Vieira's team head into the clash against Oxford United off the back of an impressive win against Aston Villa this past weekend in the English Premier League.
