Napoli coach reveals Man Utd are among the rich clubs that can 'decide to buy Osimhen'

Speaking at a press conference on Saturday before his side's Italian Serie A clash against Fiorentina, Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti made it clear that it would not be a swap deal involving Victor Osimhen if The Partenopei decide to make a move for Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer transfer window.
Osimhen's agent Roberto Calenda insisted on Friday evening that no negotiations have taken place over a potential transfer of the Nigeria international to the Red Devils.
Spalletti has confirmed as much, stating that Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentis informed him that he received no offer, and he does not see a deal happening for Osimhen with few days left before the close of the transfer window.
The Italian football tactician has admitted that Manchester United are among the rich clubs in the world with the financial muscle to prise away the Super Eagles striker from Napoli.
Signed for a club record fee of seventy million euros, Osimhen is valued in excess of €100 million by Napoli.
In quotes relayed by Football Italia, Spalletti stated : "It wouldn’t be a swap, it would be two different signings, in that case. One of the two can turn a game by himself.
"But in any case, at the moment we should not consider things that won’t help us pick up three points in Florence. Osimhen is the one who has to be the protagonist there.
"With a player like Osimhen, who is so talented, we know there is the permanent risk that some rich owner around the world will wake up in the morning and decide to buy him and that includes a club like Manchester United."
Osimhen has mustered 30 goals in 64 appearances across all competition since his move to Napoli in 2020.
