Reims targeting Aberdeen marksman as potential replacement for Arsenal loanee Balogun
Published: November 12, 2022French Ligue 1 club Stade de Reims are reportedly targeting prolific Aberdeen marksman Bojan Miovski as a replacement for Arsenal loanee Folarin Balogun.
The England U21 international of Nigerian descent joined Reims on a season long loan from Arsenal in August 2022 with no option to buy included in the deal.
The 21-year-old has had a bright start to life in the French topflight, scoring eight goals in 14 Ligue 1 appearances for Reims.
Balogun's scintillating performances have led to uncertainties concerning his future in France.
According to Jeunes Footeux, Stade de Reims have started preparing for life without Balogun by beginning a search for his perfect replacement with Miovski their top target.
The Macedonia international has tallied ten goals in fourteen appearances for Aberdeen so far this season.
Balogun's return to the Emirates will see him assume a substitute role behind Gabriel Jesus and Edward Nketiah who are ahead of him in manager Mikel Arteta's pecking order of strikers.
The Hale End Academy graduate has been the savior for the Red and Whites this season as his goals have been able to push the club outside of the relegation zone.
