Chelsea loanee Anjorin returns to action after 75 days out
Published: December 02, 2022Chelsea loanee Faustino Anjorin has recovered from illness and took to the field for Huddersfield Town in a friendly against Greek Super League champions Olympiakos in a friendly on Thursday afternoon.
The England youth international of Nigerian descent hadn't featured in a single game for the Terriers for seventy five days, since his team's 1-0 win against Cardiff City on September 17, 2022 when he played for 45 minutes.
Anjorin started for the Terriers as they concluded their week long training camp in Marbella, Spain with a 2-0 loss to the Greek side.
In a 4-2-3-1 formation, the Anglo-Nigerian was deployed as an attacking midfielder in forty minutes of action.
Anjorin had been on the sidelines as he was recovering from a bout of Glandular fever.
Having missed eleven consecutive matches in the Championship, the 21-year-old played his first game under Mark Fotheringham who was appointed Huddersfield Town boss at the back end of September.
Huddersfield Town will take on Sheffield United in a Championship clash on December 10, with Anjorin hoping to be involved in some capacity.
