Chelsea rounded off their mid-season training camp in Abu Dhabi with a 1-0 defeat to Premier League rivals Aston Villa in the inaugural CBF | Al Wahda Challenge Cup,
Chukwuemeka was spotted several times training with his Chelsea teammates ahead of the friendly with Aston Villa and took part in their final workout on Saturday afternoon.
The England U20 international of Nigerian descent is not match fit as he has just recovered from a hamstring problem which saw him miss the last five games played by the Blues before the World Cup break.
Since his arrival from Aston Villa, he has featured three times competitively for the Blues. coming in Premier League games against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Brentford and Manchester United.
Chukwuemeka started Premier League 2 matches against Fulham and Manchester City.
In the friendly, Aston Villa captain John McGinn scored the only goal of the game in the seventh minute.
