Arsenal-owned goalkeeper of Nigerian descent keeps 11th clean sheet of the season
Published: December 28, 2022Arsenal-owned goalkeeper Ovie Ejeheri continues to earn rave reviews following his brilliant performances at National League South club Chelmsford City.
The Flying Eagles-eligible player was the star of the show as Chelmsford City claimed a 2-0 victory against Braintree Town on Boxing Day.
The Hale End Academy product returned to the starting lineup of the Clarets after a small injury and his stunning display was enough to win the Man of the Match award and be named in the National League South Team of the Week.
With 17 goals conceded, Chelmsford City have the best defensive record in the division and that's largely due to the brilliant performances from Ejeheri.
The 19-year-old has earned eleven clean sheets in nineteen matches while conceding twelve goals.
Arsenal surely kept a close eye on Ejeheri and are set to make a decision on his future as his loan deal with Chelmsford City runs out in January 2023.
Ejeheri, who has been described as a goalkeeper with consistency in his handling and timing, has cited Italy great Gianluigi Buffon as his role model.
