Flying Eagles coach reveals only 12 out of 45 players in camp good enough to make AFCON squad

Flying Eagles head coach Ladan Bosso has pointed to his players' consistency as the bedrock of their future in the game.
The seven-time African champions are gearing up for the CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt with qualification to the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Indonesia this May the team's ultimate target.
The four teams that reach the semifinals of the AFCON will represent Africa at the World Cup this summer.
Bosso spoke to Brila FM, Lagos on the readiness of the team for Egypt.
"I thank God for the consistency of these players. It's the bedrock of their future. We have played some tuneup games and they have done extremely well.
"I can point to 12 players out of 45 in camp which I have seen as good enough to be in the squad," Bosso stressed.
Bosso some weeks ago insisted that the national U-20 team is not a 'rehabilitation centre' who are not of the requisite ability to play for Nigeria.
The Flying Eagles who were runners-up at the 1989 and 2005 FIFA U-20 World Cups in Saudi Arabia and the Netherlands. respectively.
Nigeria are expected to play two friendly matches against Zambia's U-20 national side to further put the team in shape before the tournament where they will play the hosts, Egypt, Senegal and Mozambique.
Most of the 'lucky' 12 players deemed good enough by Bosso are homegrown talents with the foreign-based legion expected to join them before the final list of 21 players is released.
