Super Eagles midfielder Iwobi named in Liverpool v Everton combined XI
Published: February 13, 2023
Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi has been named in a combined XI featuring only Liverpool and Everton players by football statistics website Whoscored.com.
The combined XI is based on the league ratings of players for the 2022-2023 season only.
Liverpool face Everton in the Merseyside derby at Anfield on Monday night and Iwobi is in contention to feature.
The Reds are winless in their first four Premier League games in 2023, while the Toffees registered their only win this year against Arsenal last weekend in what was Sean Dyche's first game in the dugout.
The combined XI is made up of seven players from Liverpool and four from Everton.
In a 4-3-3 formation Iwobi, with a rating of 6.71, is partnered in midfield by Amadou Onana and Thiago Alcântara.
Alisson is in goal, with a defence consisting of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez, James Tarkowski and Andrew Robertson, while the attack is a trio of Mohamed Salah, Darwin Núñez and Demarai Gray.
