Confirmed : Two-time AFCON runner-up signs new deal with Arsenal

With a statement on their official website, Premier League table toppers Arsenal have announced that Egypt international Mohamed Elneny has extended his contract with the club.
The new agreement between club and player will keep the midfielder at the Emirates Stadium until at least the end of the 2023-2024 season.
Elneny's previous contract with the Gunners was supposed to run out at the end of the current season.
Though he's currently recovering from a knee injury, the north London club have rewarded the club's longest-serving player with a new deal, just as casinos reward their loyal customers. Click here to find out more about the rewards on offer.
Elneny has scored once this season, in a 3-0 rout of Oxford United in the third round of the Emirates FA Cup last month.
The Egyptian, a two-time Africa Cup of Nations runner-up said : "I’m so happy, I love this club and our supporters so much and I’ll give everything to help us be the best we can be, every day I’m here.
"It makes me so proud to have represented this amazing club since 2016. The spirit and togetherness we have in our squad right now is so positive and I’m so happy I have extended my contract."
Since joining Arsenal from Basel in January 2016. Elneny has appeared in 155 matches across all competitions, scoring six goals and providing ten assists.
He has won three competitions with Arsenal including the FA Cup once, the FA Community Shield twice, and was in the Arsenal squad that reached the 2019 Europa League final.
