Brazil fire warning to Flying Eagles with 6-0 win in last friendly before trip to Argentina

South American champions Brazil have fired a warning shot to their Group D opponents at the 2023 FIFA U20 World Cup, including Nigeria, after a convincing 6-0 win over Madureira's U20 team in a friendly staged at Granja Comary in Teresópolis on Monday.
It was the Seleção Sub-20's last preparatory game before leaving for Argentina on Tuesday, May 16 for the World Cup.
Brazil's goals were scored by Biro, Giovane, Kevin, Marcos Leonardo and Matheus Nascimento (2).
Brazil was captained by Chelsea wonderkid Andrey Santos who joined the squad at their training camp last week,
The team led by coach Ramon Menezes beat Botafogo U23s by 3-0.in their first training match last Friday.
Brazil, five time world champions, will take on Italy in their opening match of the World Cup on May 21, followed by games against Dominican Republic (May 24) and Nigeria (May 27) with all their matches holding at Estadio Malvinas Argentinas, Mendoza.
The top two teams from each group advance to the round of 16, as do the four best third-placed teams.
Nigeria will face the U20 national team of Colombia in a friendly at the Tristan Suarez Stadium in Buenos Aires on Tuesday, 16 May at 1600 hours Argentina time (2000 hours Nigeria time).
