Villarreal offer 27-cap Nigeria international to Tottenham Hotspur in swap deal for Lo Celso
Published: June 01, 2023
Villarreal and Tottenham Hotspur could reportedly be involved in a swap deal which would see Samuel Chukwueze head to the Premier League club side and Giovani Lo Celso go in the opposite direction.
According to Relevo, the Yellow Submarine have offered Tottenham Hotspour the chance to sign Villarreal star Chukwueze in a deal that would see Lo Celso plus cash go the other way.
The 27-cap Nigeria international is in the final year of his contract at Villarreal and is not interested in extending his stay as he wants to move on to pastures new in the summer.
Villarreal are planning to sign Giovani Lo Celso on a permanent contract and would be willing to offer Tottenham Hotspur Chukwueze
On a personal level, the 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup winner has had an impressive season at Villarreal, registering twenty four goal involvements in 49 outings across all competitions.
Per the report, Chukwueze's priority is to move to the Premier League because the right winger and his camp believe it would benefit him more on a sporting level compared to La Liga.
Tottenham Hotspur, who are still without a substantive coach, are mulling over the signing of the 24-year-old.
As previously reported by allnigeriasoccer.com, French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain hold concrete interest in signing Chukwueze this summer.
