The Anglo-Nigerian centre-back extended his Wolves contract for another twelve months last June.
He struggled with injuries in his last two seasons at Wolverhampton Wanderers, limiting his appearances to nine games in the Premier League 2, and featured once in the Papa Johns Trophy.
Agboola joined Wolves in 2019, having impressed whilst on trial with their youth team.
Before his move to Wolves, he was on the books of Dagenham & Redbridge, and also lists Charlton Athletic and Southampton among his previous employers.
Agboola, who can also play as a central midfielder, has cited Manchester City legend Yaya Toure as his role model.
