Cremonese and Rangers continue to thrash out terms for transfer of Super Eagles striker

Relegated Serie A club  Cremonese and Rangers remain in talks over the sale of Nigeria national teamer Cyriel Dessers to the Scottish Premiership giants

According to the Daily Record, Cremonese and Rangers are yet to agree on the finer details of the deal, contrary to suggestions in the Italian media that a deal is done and dusted.

It was initially reported that Cremonese had valued the Super Eagles star at more than the €6.5million they paid Racing Genk for his services last summer, but it's now being claimed that the Light Blues' have offered five million euros plus performance-related add-ons.

Rangers are also hoping to sign Atalanta striker Sam Lammers so he can be paired up with Dessers in attack in the forthcoming season.

Dessers' future at Cremonese was thrown into doubt following their demotion to the Serie B at the end of the last campaign.

Signed from Genk last summer for a club-record fee, the 28-year-old still has a valid contract with the Grigiorossi until June 30, 2027.

Rangers would be signing a player with experience at scoring goals in European competition if the deal goes through.

Dessers was top scorer in the inaugural edition of the UFEA Conference League with ten goals in thirteen appearances for Feyenoord Rotterdam.
