Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report with certainty two Spanish top-flight clubs in the shape of Barcelona and Villarreal are battling to sign teenage Nigerian-born attacking midfielder Ibrahim Oseni.
Oseni has been tipped as one for the future and a potential player for the Flying Eagles in the coming years.
The highly-rated teenager is currently a free agent after ending his association with Joy Cometh Football Club, Lagos by mutual consent this month, paving the way for him to travel to Spain to undergo trials with Barcelona and Villarreal.
Joy Cometh Football Club, Lagos have the best interest of the player at heart as they have waived their right of training compensation and solidarity contribution provided on Fifa's regulations on the status and transfer of players.
Having observed him at close quarters this month, Barcelona are interested in signing Oseni but face competition from La Liga rivals Villarreal.
The Villarreal youth team coaches are currently running the rule over the Nigerian starlet with a view to signing him when he attains the age of majority.
Born in April 2006, Oseni offers versatility as he is capable of playing as an offensive midfielder and can also operate on both flanks.
