Confirmed: UEFA Youth League alumnus Ademo joins Moldovan champions Sheriff Tiraspol
Published: June 27, 2023
Through a press release published on their official website, Moldovan champions Sheriff Tiraspol have announced the signing of Nigerian midfielder Peter Ademo.
Ademo was one of the five players unveiled by Sheriff on Monday, the others being Joao Paulo Moreira Fernandes, Konstantinos Apostolakis, Victor Străistari and Vinícius dos Santos de Oliveira Paiva.
The length plus financial details of the contract signed by Ademo have not been disclosed by the Yellow-Blacks.
The 20-year-old has already made his non-competitive debut for Sheriff, in Sunday's pre-season friendly against FC Zimbru Chisinau.
Ademo is a product of Real Sapphire, the Lagos-based grassroots club which produced Victor Boniface, Chinonso Offor, Tosin Aiyegun and Adeleke Akinyemi.
He began his professional career at Lithuanian club BFC Daugavpils, before switching to DFK Dainava, whom he joined on a full deal in January 2023 after a successful loan spell the previous season.
Ademo is an alumnus of the UEFA Youth League, featuring twice in the competition for BFC Daugavpils U19s in 2021.
