Arsenal name history-making midfielder of Nigerian descent in travelling squad to Germany

History-making midfielder Ethan Nwaneri, who is the youngest-ever player to feature in the Premier League, has been named in Arsenal's travelling  squad for their pre-season training camp in Germany.

​Nwaneri traveled with the Arsenal senior team members on Sunday and will be hoping to be involved when they face German 2.Bundesliga outfit Nürnberg on Thursday.

​
​The 16-year-old had earlier featured in the Gunners' behind-closed-doors friendly against Watford at London Colney on Saturday and is now set to have another opportunity to train with the first-team players.
​
​
​The attacking midfielder became the youngest debutant in Premier League history last season and his exceptional talent had attracted the interest of Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea.
​
​
However, the England youth International has committed his future to Arsenal, ending all speculations linking him with an exit from the Emirates Stadium.
​
​
The north London club are set to embark on a pre-season tour of the United States when they leave Germany.

Ahead of the forthcoming seaon, Arsenal will be involved in pre-season games against MLS All-Stars, Manchester United and Barcelona before their return to England where they will end their pre-season activities with a game against Monaco on the 2nd of August.
