Everton to consider selling Super Eagles star if they receive a very good offer
Published: July 11, 2023
It has been revealed that Everton will only consider selling Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi this summer for a very good offer.
According to Football Insider, the Toffees are not ready to sell Iwobi cheaply despite the midfielder running into the final year of his contract.
The 27-year-old joined the Toffees from Arsenal in the summer of 2019 and has established himself as a key player.
He played a vital role as the Merseyside club fought tooth and nail to preserve their Premier League status last season, only confirming their stay in the English top flight on the last day.
The Hale End Academy product was one of the two Everton players to have featured in all 38 games in the Premier League last season, with the other being James Tarkowski.
He has made 138 appearances in all competitions and has posted 9 goals and 16 assists since joining the Toffees.
With the Nigerian midfielder running into the last year of his existing contract, he has been offered an extension but has yet to communicate his decision to the club.
It appears that the 63-cap Nigerian International is taking his time before making a decision.
