14 goals in 13 games: Former Flying Eagles striker at the double for Lillestrom
Published: July 16, 2023
Former Flying Eagles striker Akor Adams is in remarkable form for Norwegian Eliteserien club Lillestrom.
The 23-year-old has now mustered 14 goals in thirteen league games after registering a brace for the Canaries in their 4-2 rout of Sandefjord in Åråsen on Sunday, July 16.
Selected to start his thirteenth consecutive league game of this campaign, Adams restored Lillestrom's one-goal advantage in the 18th minute after he was set up by Vetle Dragsnes.
And it was 3-1 to the hosts in the 38th minute when Adams slotted home after the ball was put on a plate for him by Lehne Olsen.
In the 67th minute, he then turned from scorer to provider, flicking a header into the path of his strike partner, Olsen who extended the lead to 4-1, but the visitors pulled one back through Jesper Taaje with a sweet volley that beat the goalkeeper.
Adams' form this season has not gone unnoticed as bigger teams in Germany and Belgium have been keeping tabs on him with a view to a possible summer transfer.
Signed from Sogndal in 2022, the Jamba Football Academy product has approximately eighteen months left on his contract with Lillestrom.
