Nottingham Forest confirm provisional squad numbers for three Super Eagles players

Nottingham Forest have announced provisional squad numbers for the 2023-2024 season, with three Super Eagles players Emmanuel Dennis, Ola Aina and Taiwo Awoniyi allocated kit numbers.

​The two-time European champions have handed the number 43 jersey to Aina who just joined this summer.

​
​Nottingham Forest's number 43 shirt has been worn by George Shelvey, Baba Fernandes, George Shelvey,  Arvin Appiah, Jordan Smith, Ross Durrant and Nialle Rodney in the past. 
​
​
​Awoniyi still retains the number 9 jersey which was also won by retired striker of Niger Dele Adebola and Manchester United legend Roy Keane during their days at the club.

​
Dennis whose future at the club is uncertain also retains the number 25 jersey from last season.
​
​
​Forest have also made it known that the squad numbers could be changed after the closure of the transfer window.
​
​
​Steve Cooper's side begin their campaign against Arsenal tomorrow at the Emirates Stadium.
​
​
​Dennis and Aina are in contention to feature for Cooper's side while Awoniyi is rated as doubtful.
