With a statement on their official website, Crystal Palace have announced that 2021 Super Eagles invitee Michael Olise has committed his future to the club by putting pen to paper on a new four-year contract.
The France U21 international is heavily linked with a summer transfer to Chelsea, where he spent the formative years of his career before switching to Reading, from where he moved to Crystal Palace in the summer of 2021.
It had been claimed that Chelsea had activated a £35 million release clause in Olise's previous contract with The Eagles.
It is now unclear whether the winger will be joining Chelsea this summer despite rumours of an imminent transfer.
Crystal Palace Chairman Steve Parish announced that Olise inked a new four-year contract on Thursday afternoon.
With eleven assists to his name in last season's Premier League, the Nigeria target was the top assist provider in Europe's top five leagues for players aged 21 and younger.
He took home a hat-trick of awards at the Crystal Palace End of Season awards, winning not only Players’ Player of the Season but also Goal of the Season and Moment of the Season.
Olise is currently recovering from a hamstring injury he suffered on international duty with France at the 2023 European U21 Championship.
