'That's his best performance so far' - Rangers coach blown away by Dessers' display against PSV

Rangers manager Michael Beale was left dazzled by the performance of Cyriel Dessers in his side's 2-2 draw against PSV Eindhoven in a UEFA Champions League playoff match staged at the Ibrox Stadium on Tuesday night.
Against familiar foes, former Feyenoord Rotterdam, Heracles Almelo, FC Utrecht and NAC Breda striker Dessers started and was in action for 81 minutes before making way for Danilo.
Right on the stroke of halftime, Senegal star Abdallah Sima curled home a beauty from the edge of the box to open the scoring.
Sangaré side-footed home from close range to level matters just past the hour mark, only for Rabbi Matondo to restore Rangers' one-goal advantage in the 76th minute.
The substitute finished off a counter-attack with Dessers providing the assist and the goal was confirmed after a VAR review, but it was honours even again as Luuk de Jong equalized with ten minutes left.
In what was a special game for Dessers, the Super Eagles star did well to press the PSV defenders every time the Dutch team attempted to build from the back.
"I thought the front three worked really hard, Cyriel Dessers, that’s his best performance for Rangers so far. I was delighted for Abdallah Sima with the goal," Beale told TNT Sports via BBC.
"There were moments I wanted us to keep the ball more but you have to understand the magnitude of the game."
PSV host Rangers in the Netherlands next Wednesday with the tie finely poised. The winner will advance to the group stage of the Champions League.
