Report claims Chelsea 'could be best-placed club to land' striker with 121 career goals for clubs and country

Football insider has claimed that Chelsea 'could be the best-placed club to land striker Victor Osimhen' if he were to push for an exit from Napoli.
Osimhen, who has been nominated for the Ballon d'Or and The Best FIFA Men's Player, has established a reputation as one of the best strikers in the world.
The 2015 Fifa U17 World Cup winner has mustered 121 goals for clubs and country since turning professional, comprising 63 in the colours of Napoli, 18 for Lille, 20 for RSC Charleroi and 20 for Nigeria's senior national team.
According to the report, the two-time European champions will find it difficult to turn down the chance of signing the Nigerian striker if the opportunity were to arise despite Financial Fair Play breach concerns.
They were also linked with him last summer, but they couldn't meet Napoli's humongous valuation.
Despite bolstering the attack last summer, Mauricio Pochettino's side has struggled for goals this season, with Nicolas Jackson, their first choice striker at the moment recording more yellow cards than goals since the start of the campaign.
Osimhen's relationship with Napoli has gone sour following the video posted on the club's official TikTok account mocking him for his penalty miss against Bologna in a Serie A game last weekend.
This breakdown in relationship has reportedly reignited the interest of Chelsea in his services, but it is believed that an exit from Napoli is more likely to happen next summer than in the January transfer window.
