Inter Milan considering move for Leicester City striker Iheanacho next summer
Published: October 16, 2023
Inter Milan are considering a move for Leicester City's Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho.
According to FCInternews, the Italian giants have identified the Leicester City forward as a potential target for next summer's transfer window.
The report also added that the club will be making further assessments of the Nigerian forward before deciding on whether to acquire his services.
Besides Iheanacho, the 19-time Italian champions also have FC Porto forward Mehdi Taremi on their wishlist.
Despite boasting of Lautaro Martínez and Marcus Thuram in the striking department, Inter Milan need a striker due to the expiration of Alexis Sánchez's contract next summer.
Iheanacho is running into the final months of his contract with Leicester City and there are no indications that he will sign a contract extension as of yet.
The 27-year-old has played a vital role in the Foxes' start to the campaign as they seek to stage a return to the Premier League.
Iheanacho is in red-hot form at the moment with four goals in his last five games in the Championship and was on target whilst on international duty with the Super Eagles on Friday, October 13.
