A game to forget for Bassey as Fulham are beaten by Tottenham; Iwobi and Udogie also feature

Nigeria international Calvin Bassey had a game to forget as he started his second Premier League game for Fulham in their 2-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Monday night.
Son Heung-min gave Tottenham the lead in the 36th minute with a curling effort into the top corner, capitalizing on a mistake from Bassey.
The Super Eagles centre-back will be the culprit once again for Spurs' second of the night as he gave away the ball cheaply before Son combined withJames Maddison to give the home side a two-goal lead.
It would have been a hat trick of mistakes for the former Ajax defender with his heavy touch leading to a chance which could not be converted by the home side in the 75th minute.
Bassey ended the game losing the possession 10 times but was quite good in his duels, winning 2 of his 3 ground duels and the one aerial duel he contested.
Alex Iwobi also featured for the losing side, starting the game on the bench for the Cottagers before coming on at the start of the second half for Manchester United academy product Andreas Pereira.
Italian-Nigerian left-back Destiny Udogie was once again in action for Tottenham, starting the game in his usual left-back position and was replaced in the 55th minute by Emerson Royal.
He is yet to taste a defeat in the Premier League after nine appearances, a feat he will be hoping can continue on Friday when they face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
