2023 Flying Eagles invitee takes his tally for the season up to 12 with brace for Crystal Palace U21s

2023 Flying Eagles invitee Ademola Ola-Adebomi has taken his tally for the season to 12 goals in all competitions for Crystal Palace's development squad after netting a pair of goals in a 4-1 rout of Birmingham City in a Premier League Cup encounter on Friday night.
Ola-Adebomi has put behind him the disappointment of failing to make the Nigeria roster for the 2023 Africa U20 Cup of Nations and Fifa U20 World Cup, and has been firing on all cylinders since the start of the 2023-2024 season.
The 20-year-old is inching closer to a senior debut for the Eagles, having received call-ups for back-to-back Premier League matches against Manchester United and Nottingham Forest.
Against Birmingham City tonight, Crystal Palace were three goals up at half-time after a brace from Ola-Adebomi and Jack Wells-Morrison's early opener from the spot.
The visitors doubled the advantage in the 32nd minute after a lovely finish from Ola-Adebomi and he got his brace six minutes later,
In the 57th minute, the lanky striker almost scored a hat-trick but saw his effort hit the post from close range.
After Pharrell Williams pulled a goal back for the Blues, Crystal Palace's youngest ever Premier League debutant, David Ozoh restored the visitors' three-goal cushion when he rifled home in the 83rd minute to wrap up the win.
Ola-Adebomi has netted seven goals in the Premier League 2, four in the Premier League Cup and was on target against the first team of Stevenage in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy on November 14.
