Super Eagles stars Ighalo, Osayi-Samuel, Omeruo send messages to Iwobi after first Premier League brace
Published: December 07, 2023
Odion Ighalo, Bright Osayi-Samuel and Kenneth Omeruo are among the Super Eagles players who have reacted to Alex Iwobi scoring his first-ever Premier League brace.
The 27-year-old helped Fulham to return to winning ways yesterday night, scoring 2 goals in their 5-0 mauling of Nottingham Forest at the Craven Cottage in a Premier League mid-week fixture.
He scored the first and fourth goals of the counter as the Cottagers registered their 5th win of the season.
Iwobi joined the Cottagers in the summer to reunite with Marcus Silva who was also responsible for bringing him to Everton.
While it has taken time for him to settle into the team, he has finally broken into the first XI, starting seven of the last 8 games for the London-based side.
The Nigeria international registered his first Premier League goal for Fulham against Wolverhampton Wanderers and has now followed it up with a brace against Nottingham Forest yesterday.
Iwobi has taken to Instagram to react to his latest feat and has also been congratulated by Ighalo, Osayi-Samuel, Omeruo and some others.
Having now registered 3 goals in the Premier League this season, the former Everton has already equaled his best-ever goal tally for a single season in the English top-flight.
