Tosin and Solanke join Liverpool, Tottenham forwards in BBC's Premier League Team of the Week
Published: December 11, 2023BBC football pundit Garth Crooks has selected his Premier League Team of the Week following the conclusion of matchday 16, with two Super Eagles-eligible players making the cut.
Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke and his pal, Fulham central defender Tosin Adarabioyo have earned places in the Team of the Week following their goalscoring displays for their respective teams.
In a historic win at Old Trafford, Solanke broke the deadlock in the fifth minute when he flicked the ball past Manchester United's Cameroon goalkeeper André Onana.
Tosin scored his first Premier League goal in over a year as Fulham made it back-to-back 5-0 wins, with the Manchester City academy product powering a header past the West Ham United goalkeeper five minutes before half-time.
Seven different clubs have contributed players to the BBC Team of the Week including Liverpool, Fulham, Bournemouth, Sheffield United, Manchester City, Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur.
In a 3-4-3 formation, Alisson is protected by a back three of Marcos Senesi, Tosin and Milos Kerkezm, while the midfield contains Lewis Cook, James McAtee, Bernardo Silva and John McGinn.
In attack, Solanke is flanked by Tottenham captain Son Heung-min and Liverpool dazzler Mohamed Salah.
