Nigeria-eligible left-back Destiny Udogie is set to miss Tottenham Hotspur's Premier League clash with Everton next Saturday due to card accumulation having picked up five yellow cards.
The talented defender picked up his fifth yellow card of the season in Spurs' 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground yesterday having been booked for a foul on Ryan Yates in the first half of the encounter.
Udogie was also booked in Premier League matches against Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City
The Italian-Nigerian is now set to miss one game which is the punishment slated for card accumulation under the Premier League rules.
The 21-year-old has 15 Premier League appearances this season, all of which he started.
Udogie's absence against the Toffees will be a big blow for Ange Postecoglou with the left-back proving to be one of his most trusted players with three goal involvements recorded thus far.
Brazilian fullback Emerson Royal might be called upon by Postecoglou to replace him as Spurs will be seeking to make it three consecutive victories in the Premier League against the Toffees.
With the victory over Forest, the north London side now has the same point as the defending champions Manchester City who face Crystal Palace later today at the Etihad Stadium.
