Arsenal keeping tabs on N51b-rated Super Eagles-eligible attacker ahead of January window
Published: December 17, 2023
Arsenal are reportedly following the progress of Super Eagles-eligible attacker Dominic Solanke ahead of the January transfer window.
The Daily Star has reported that the Gunners are keeping tabs on Solanke and could make a move for the Bournemouth forward if they fail to land their main target Ivan Toney.
Arsenal fear they will be priced out of a deal for the Brentford man, with fellow London clubs Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea also credited with an interest in his signature.
One of the alternatives being considered by manager Mikel Arteta is Solanke who is having an impressive season at the Cherries.
The Anglo-Nigerian center forward has scored 8 goals in 16 Premier League games this season and was on target in the suspended Premier League match between Bournemouth and Luton Town at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday.
David Moyes' West Ham United are also said to be interested in the signature of Solanke who committed his future to Bournemouth by signing a new four-year contract in September.
As per the report, Bournemouth would ask for around 50 million pounds (approximately N51 billion) to part company with Solanke in the January transfer window.
