Bournemouth to resist sale of Super Eagles-eligible striker in January amid links with Arsenal
Published: December 21, 2023
Bournemouth will resist any offer for star striker Dominic Solanke who has been linked with Arsenal in recent weeks when the transfer window reopens next month.
According to Teamtalk, the Cherries are not ready to let go of the Super Eagles-eligible striker as of yet and will be reluctant to entertain any offer for his services during the January transfer window.
Arsenal are seeking to bolster their attacking department in a bid to bolster their chances of winning the Premier League and have identified the Chelsea Academy product as a potential target.
The Gunners see the 26-year-old as an alternative to Brentford forward Ivan Toney who is also on their list of possible targets.
Solanke has been in stellar form in recent weeks and has helped Bournemouth stay clear of the relegation zone with his impressive form in front of goal.
He has scored 8 goals in the Premier League this season and netted his 9th of the season in the Cherries' encounter with Luton Town last weekend but the game was canceled which also meant the goal couldn't be added to his tally.
Solanke is one of Bournemouth's key players and the club are ready to retain his services beyond next month as they seek to keep their Premier League status.
