Leicester considering move for Black Stars-eligible midfielder as possible replacement for Ndidi
Published: December 25, 2023
Leicester City have reportedly identified Black Stars-eligible midfielder Pierre Dwomoh as a possible replacement for Wilfred Ndidi whose time at the club appears to be coming to an end.
According to Italian media via Caughtoffside, the Championship table-toppers have set sights on the 19-year-old as a replacement for their veteran midfielder.
Dwomoh is currently spending a loan term with Belgian outfit, RWD Molenbeek from Royal Antwerp and has played 21 games this term and has 2 goals and one assist.
Ndidi is running into the final months of his contract with Leicester City and there is no sign yet that he is willing to extend his stay at the King Power Stadium beyond the next simmer.
A host of clubs including Barcelona and Sevilla are informed about the situation of the 27-year-old and are exploring the possibility of getting his signature.
He was linked with a departure from the club in the last transfer window but eventually stayed put and has played a role in their quest to return to the Premier League.
The Nigeria international has made 22 appearances across all competitions this term and has registered 10 goal involvement.
