Talented winger George misses out on Chelsea Goal of the Month for third month in a row

Talented England youth teamer of Nigerian descent Tyrique George has missed out on Chelsea's Goal of the Month award for the third month in a row.
Chelsea have confirmed through their official website that Cole Palmer's ice-cold finish against Luton has been chosen by supporters as Chelsea's Goal of the month for December.
This is the third consecutive month George has missed out on the Goal of the Month as he had been nominated for the award for October and November, with Mykhailo Mudryk and Raheem Sterling taking the honour respectively.
George's stunning strike against Luton Town in the Premier League Cup secured a spot on the eight-goal shortlist, which also included efforts from Enzo Fernandez, Harrison McMahon, Lauren James, Erin Cuthbert, Mykhailo Mudryk and Cole Palmer, who was double nominated for his goals against Sheffield United and Luton.
The Anglo-Nigerian winger had been aiming to become the second player of Nigerian descent to win Chelsea's Goal of the Month this season, after Carney Chukwuemeka whose brilliant strike against West Ham United in Chelsea's Premier League match at London Stadium was named August's best.
George's strike against the Hatters was not ranked in the top four, with Mykhailo Mudryk's leveler against Newcastle in second place while Palmer's goal against Sheffield United was voted joint-third alongside Lauren James' effort.
He has been one of the standout players for Chelsea's youth teams in the 2023-2024 campaign with ten goals in all competitions and trained with the first team during the international break in November 2023.
