Two-time CL winner with Real Madid McManaman reveals why he thinks Chelsea target Osimhen is PL bound

Two-time Champions League winner with Real Madrid and Liverpool legend Steve McManaman has explained why he thinks Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is destined to play in the Premier League as from next season.
Chelsea are in the market for a marquee center forward and are pushing to sign the Napoli marksman who has a release clause of around 100 million pounds.
Recent reports indicate the Stamford Bridge outfit have to see off competition from Paris Saint-Germain who have identified the Super Eagles number 9 as a the top target to replace 2018 World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe who is heavily tipped to join Real Madrid on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Speaking on TNT Sports, monitored by allnigeriasoccer.com, McManaman explained: "His sellable value, it has to be the Premier League because Germany of course have not got the finances. The big teams in Spain haven't got the finances, particularly if Real Madrid take Mbappe.
"The only place he can go is the Premier League and he's certainly not playing like a £100 million player and that's what they want for him."
Although a lot of people expected much more of him, Osimhen has had goalscoring troubles in recent weeks, having netted just once at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations before the Champions League tie at the Diego Maradona Stadium.
In Wednesday night's Champions League clash against Barcelona, Napoli played in a disjointed manner which didn't help the striker's cause but he managed to get on the score sheet despite having a tough day at the office.
In the 75th minute, he created a chance for himself and guided his low strike into the net.
McManaman has urged Osimhen to get back to form in order to fire Napoli into the Champions League quarterfinals and also take them up the Serie A table.
