Eight things to note on Super Eagles' 27-man squad for friendlies against Ghana and Mali 

The Nigeria Football Federation have announced a 27-man roster ahead of the Super Eagles' March internationals against Ghana and Mali in the Moroccan city of Marrakech.

Allnigeriasoccer.com's editorial staff brings you eight things to note on the roster : 

1) The roster holds an average age of 26.07 years as at Saturday, March 9. Kenneth Omeruo is the oldest player at 30 years and 144 days and the youngest is Benjamin Tianimu at 21.

2) The twenty seven players play in thirteen different countries: England (9), Turkey (3), Italy (3), Portugal (2), Belgium (2), South Africa (1), Nigeria (1), Tanzania (1), Germany (1), Scotland (1), Cyprus (1), Spain (1), France (1)

3) Four players are aged 23 or younger: Benjamin Tianimu, Raphael Onyedika, Alhassan Yusuf and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru. 

4) The squad contains three goalkeepers, ten defenders, five midfielders and nine forwards.

5) Seventeen players were part of the Super Eagles squad that reached the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. 

6) With 76 caps, Alex Iwobi is the most capped player named on the roster, followed by Moses Simon (70) and Kenneth Omeruo (67). 

7) Three players are products of Arsenal youth team: Nathan Tella, Alex iwobi and Semi Ajayi

8) Luton Town's central defender Gabriel Osho joins Benjamin Tianimu and Ojo Olorunleke as the three uncapped players on the roster.
