Serie A: Chukwueze's market value downgraded; Udinese GK Okoye sees his stock rise

Football statistics and transfer market website, Transfermarkt updated the market value of players in the Italian Serie A on Tuesday, March 12.

A player's valuation depends on several factors including length of contract, age and form for club and country.

For the second consecutive update, AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze's valuation has plummeted.

Signed from Villarreal for a fee of €20m plus €8m in bonuses, the Super Eagles star is now rated at €20m, dropping by three million euros compared to his valuation in December 2023.

The 2015 Fifa U17 World Cup winner has struggled for game time since landing at the Rossoneri, logging 896 minutes spread across 22 matches from a possible 3,510 in all competitions.

On the international stage, he started three of the seven matches played by the Super Eagles at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations without making a significant impact.

Chukwueze, whose spectacular performances for Villarreal last season saw him being courted by Europe's elite clubs, has managed only two goals this term with both coming in the Champions League.

Meanwhile, Chukwueze's international teammate Maduka Okoye has seen his stock rise after forcing his way into Udinese's starting lineup, having started their last eleven games in the Italian top-flight.

Okoye's market value has soared from two million euros to three million euros, €0.5m less than his career best of €3.5m.

The former Watford goalkeeper has kept three clean sheets in the Serie A while conceding fourteen goals.
