Dana Cup: Two-time Golden Eaglets assistant coach Bunmi Haruna leads Blue Ocean to Denmark

Blue Ocean Academy (BOA), have landed in Denmark for the 2024 Dana Cup.
The Nigeria team, based in Abuja and Ado Ekiti, touched down in Copenhagen, Denmark on Saturday and headed straight to Aalborg, the venue of the 2024 Dana Cup.
Led by two-time Nigeria U17 team assistant coach, Bunmi Haruna, BOA hopes to give their players international exposure and also first-hand opportunities to top European scouts to see top Nigerian talents.
"This is a huge opportunity for our players to showcase Nigeria and the talents that we have in the country, Haruna said.
"Players are scouted from all over Nigeria. Kano, Lagos, Enugu, Abuja, Bauchi, Ekiti, all across the country.
"The young boys are trained to meet the European standards and I can assure you the scouts who choose to see our games will not be disappointed," he concluded.
Chairman, BOA, Olumide Adekunbi, says the trip to Denmark is the beginning of many more of such as plans have been concluded to attend more international tours later this year and even next year.
"This is just the first of many trips to Europe and other parts of the world to expose our players.
"We have plans to visit Morocco, Portugal, Norway, Spain, Belgium, and even the United States next year.
We want to set an enviable standard for youth football development in Africa," Olumide concluded.
BOA will compete in the U19 category of the 2024 Dana Cup with over 1000 teams from 50 countries expected to feature.
BOA will play Imas-Jerv-2 of Norway on the 23rd of July , Skaun BK of Norway, and Ahrensburger TSV of Germany on the 24th, of July 2024.
