Newcastle, Wolves, Nottingham Forest among six PL clubs interested in Burnley's quad-national winger
Published: September 23, 2024
Burnley's quad-national forward Luca Koleosho has drawn interest from six Premier League clubs thanks to his impressive performances in the Championship, according to HITC.
Koleosho was born and raised in the United States to a Nigerian father and an Italian-Canadian mother, making him eligible to represent the senior national teams of Nigeria, United States, Italy and Canada.
Under Scott Parker at Burnley, the 20-year-old has scored two goals in five matches, including the decisive goal against Leeds United last week.
Capable of playing as a left winger and striker, Koleosho is being monitored by Aston Villa, Brighton, Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Newcastle United.
Newcastle have reportedly sent scouts to evaluate him this season, with the aim of accessing his potential ahead of a possible future transfer.
Wolverhampton Wanderers, looking to strengthen their squad after losing Pedro Neto to Chelsea, are also keen on Koleosho following a previous unsuccessful attempt to sign him.
As per the report, Aston Villa, Brighton, Nottingham Forest, and Crystal Palace have also sent representatives to watch him recently as well.
Amid ongoing speculation, Koleosho will aim to continue impressing in hopes of securing a potential move to the Premier League.
This opportunity would allow him to follow in the footsteps of talents like Ollie Watkins, Eberechi Eze, and Michael Oliseh, who have successfully made the jump from the Championship to the Premier League.
